While at the Katz School, Dr. Nagarajan has developed courses for undergraduate, MBA and doctoral students as well as executive development seminars in the areas of strategic cost management, corporate governance and management control and the management of technological innovation.
Dr. Nagarajan was Academic Director of the ‘Management Program for Executives’ and ‘Financial Thinking for Non Financial Managers’ at the Katz School.
He has received numerous teaching awards including the Katz School’s ‘Excellence in Teaching Award’ several times and the Outstanding Teacher of the Year award from the EMBA program in Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh’s EMBA Worldwide Programs in Prague and Manchester. In addition to his teaching experience at the University of Pittsburgh, he has developed and taught several executive programs in Mexico, South America, Europe and Asia. Nandu Nagarajan is a visiting Professor of Finance at the Sasin Graduate Institute for Business Administration, Bangkok, Thailand and the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, India.
Dr. Nagarajan is a past member of the editorial board of The Accounting Review and the Journal of Management Accounting Research and past associate editor of the Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance. He is also a referee for several journals in accounting, economics, finance and operations. He is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and has extensive work experience with Imperial Chemical Industries Ltd. He has also provided consulting services on cost reduction and performance measurement to several organizations including ISA, Copperweld, Fiserv, L.B. Foster, Kodak, Siam Cement Group, Timkin, Westinghouse, and major hospitals. |
