On December 15, 2023, Sasin Japan Center collaborated with the Japan Academy for Asian Market Economies, in conjunction with Mediator Co., Ltd., to co-host the ‘Thailand HR Market Outlook Seminar’. The event focused on enhancing Human Resource Management (HRM) practices within Japanese companies based in Thailand and explored strategies to attract talented Thai youth. The discussions delved into the strengths and weaknesses of HRM within Japanese organizations. The seminar commenced with opening remarks from Associate Professor Piyachart Piromswad, Deputy Director of Sasin School of Management. Professor Takamasa Fujioka, Director of Sasin Japan Center and Associate Dean of Meiji Professional Graduate School, delivered a keynote speech. Following that, Work Venture delivered a presentation, paving the way for a panel discussion that included HR representatives from CP Group and Central Group. Approximately 100 attendees, consisting of Thai and Japanese business professionals, attentively participated in the discussions. A prominent Japanese TV station also attended the event to provide coverage, conducting an interview with Professor Fujioka to delve into the present status of Human Resource Management (HRM) within Japanese companies operating in Thailand.
