Letters of Recommendation and Transcripts
Q30: Who should write my letters of recommendation?
A30: We require two letters of recommendation. At least one should be from your current employer or from a recent supervisor who has been directly responsible for evaluating your professional performance and potential. The other can be from a university instructor who knows you well.

Q31: Can I submit more than two letters of recommendation?
A31: Yes, but please use good judgement in deciding whether it is really necessary. You need do so only if the extra letter offers information not covered by the other two required recommendations.

Q32: Can my recommender(s) use their own envelopes?
A32: The recommenders may use their own envelopes, as long as they sign across the seal.

Q33: Can recommendation letters and transcripts from the previous year's application be used for the current year?
A33: Although your previous application will be pulled and added to the current application, letters of recommendation (from different persons) must be submitted again.

Q34: Do I need to use the transcript request form?
A34: Some colleges and universities do not acknowledge transcript requests from their current and former students. This is the reason we include a transcript request form in the application. If you do not need it, do not use it.

Q35: My transcript(s) and/or letter(s) of recommendation are not in English. What should I do?
A35: Materials that are not in English must be transcribed by an official and notarized agency. We do not provide referrals to such agencies.
