Sasin Welcomes Incoming Class of 2008
MBA Orientation held April 19-26, 2008, kicked off at SasaPatasalaBuilding during April 19-23, 2008. The highlight of the Bangkok activities was the Video Conference with Dean Dipak C. Jain, Dean of Kellogg School of Management and Sasin MBA 2007 students who are now on the exchange program over there.
During April 21-22, students participated in the Developing Persuasive Presentation Skills session conducted by Dr. Melanie Billings-Yun with Ajarn Karen Chavanich, Assistant Professor Dr. Kritika Kongsompong, Khun Nick Pisalyaput, Ajarn Rochelle Powtong and Dr. Sabin Srivannaboon. On April 23, Mr. Edwin Sim, CEO of Human Capital Alliance Ltd. addressed the topic of “Becoming a Corporate Leader.” Then a panel of Sasin Alumni, moderated by Assistant Prof. Dr. Kritika Kongsompong, shared their insights on “Making the Most of Your Sasin Experience.” The day ended with the Executive Coaching session conducted by Associate Professor Dr. Siriyupa Roongrerngsuke, and Dr. Piman Limpaphayom.
MBA Orientation trip was held at The Dusit Thani, Hua Hin, from April 24-26, 2008 where MBA 2007 students, administrators, faculty and staff had an opportunity to informally mix and mingle with the incoming class of 2008. On April 24, Ajarn Kittiratt Na-Ranong, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, started the activities at the seaside resort with his talk on “Corporate Social Responsibility.” Ajarn Thiti Vejpas, Deputy Director for Administrative Affairs, followed with an introduction to the “Global Initiatives in Management (GIM) Program" that included a description of the activities of the GIM 2007 students. Later K. Nick Pisalyaput, MBA 2003, shared his experience about ”Opportunities to Represent Sasin in the Global Arena”. The Pin Presentation ceremony was held that evening to formally welcome new MBA 2008 students to the “Sasin Family”.
On April 25, the immensely enjoyable Sasin Team Challenge & Race 2008 activities took place, promoting team-building and leadership skills. Team “J” was the victor this year. On the return to Bangkok, the group stopped at KingRamaIIMemorial Park for lunch. Everyone arrived safely in Bangkok, ready to start the new academic year with excited anticipation.
