DSIL is a bilingual school at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi. It is the first in Thailand to follow a constructionist education model, an experiential-based methodology linked to Stanford University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
One of the two pillars of Constructionism Theory is project-based learning, which has students research a project that interests them and report the summary results in a presentation. The idea is to help students to think creatively and to understand the process of creation.
The second Constructions Theory pillar is problem-based learning. Students approach a given question as a problem needing a solution. This perspective allows learners to consider alternate solutions and select the one most suitable. This helps students develop techniques to analyze and solve complicated issues.
Join us in this wonderful opportunity to meet with students and take an inside look at DSIL's experiential learning methodology.
