Management Oral Presentation Workshop
In this two-day, 12-hour workshop, participants are taught how to make an effective persuasive presentation by focusing on the following:
analyzing the audience in order to tailor the message to their interests and needs
using a three-part plan to ensure that the audience will be able to follow and remember the most important parts of the message
preparing attractive and appropriate visual aids to support the message
making the presentation more dynamic through the effective use of voice, intonation, gestures, posture and body movement and, most importantly, eye contact
In addition, on Day 2, participants will have a chance to make their own individual presentations (in English) which they have prepared before class. These presentations will be videotaped so that each participant can receive detailed individual feedback privately from an experienced member immediately afterward.
Participants will then make a final presentation incorporating the suggestions for improvement given during the feedback session. They will also be able to practice effective handling of questions at this time.
Qualification of Participants
Those who will benefit most from this MOP workshop should be fluent speakers of English (the focus is on presentation skills, not language skills) who are required to make oral presentations in the workplace and who are willing to devote one evening in preparing a presentation (homework).
