On Saturday July 14th, Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University welcomed over 80 of Thailand’s Rotary leaders to a Public Relations Training Day. Organized by the Rotary Club of Bangkok South and Rotary District 3350, the event was led by Sasin Business English faculty member and Rotarian Dr. Tim Cornwall. Sasin Center for Sustainability Management COO and Rotary District Governor Alex Mavro gave some opening remarks to kick off the one-day event, which featured an interactive workshop in the morning on ‘How to Write a Press Release.’
In the afternoon, Rotarians were led through three breakout sessions dealing with ‘Taking Great Photos’, ‘Understanding Meeting Dynamics’ and ‘Using Social Media’. These three afternoon sessions gave attendees an enhanced ability to take print-quality photos, to host meetings people want to attend and to use social media to expand Rotary’s message.
A number of Sasin alumni, faculty and staff are members of the Rotary Club of Bangkok South, Thailand's largest Rotary club. Rotary is a voluntary organization stretching across almost every country in the world with over 2.3 million members who work together based on the idea of ‘Service above Self’ to help those less fortunate and to give us a chance to give back to the communities we live in.
