Sasin’s MBA student team aQuainnova has been declared the WINNER of this year’s Startup @ Singapore competition - a competition that started in September last year with over 1,000 participants making up 410 teams from 28 countries and culminated in the finals comprising 11 teams this morning. It is worth noting that this is the first year that a non-Singaporean team has won the competition in its 12 year history.
With this win, aQuainnova receive a S$20,000 conditional cash prize and potentially a further S$50,000 in seed funding should the team start their venture in Singapore. This is great news on the back of aQuainnova’s 2nd place finish in one of the most highly-regarded competition on the business plan competition circuit, the New Venture Championship in Portland, OR, USA last month. For the finals of S @ S competition today, the team was represented by an all-girl troupe of Patraporn Saenawatanakul, Nichaboon Purnaveja, Prapada Prapan, and Donsiri Aromsook.
