Applying to the Flexible MBA Program

Sasin welcomes applications from graduates in all fields who are interested in pursuing an MBA degree. If you hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a Thai university or from an international institution of recognized standing, you are eligible for consideration.

Prior study in business or economics is not a requirement for admission! In fact, most Sasin students come from non-business degree backgrounds. Their undergraduate majors include graduates from engineering, science, technology, social sciences and the humanities.

Although course work in calculus is not required, a solid foundation in quantitative skills is expected.

What do we look for?

Sasin looks for students with outstanding potential for leadership as well as the intellectual and interpersonal skills needed to make a meaningful contribution to the academic and extra-curricular life of Sasin. We aim to form a dynamic and diverse student body, representing many countries, cultures, personalities, backgrounds, and career aspirations.

We will evaluate your:

  • scholastic ability for graduate study,
  • your transcripts from your previous educational endeavors,
  • qualities of character and motivation,
  • evidence of leadership,
  • societal concern and involvement,
  • management promise,
  • the quality of your application essays,
  • your references,
  • and your GMAT or GRE, and where appropriate, TOEFL or IELTS scores.

We will review all aspects of your application to assess you compared to our overall pool of applicants. Admission is not driven by any single measure, but rather by the overall combination of activities and achievements that you possess.

We will attempt to evaluate your potential for a management career through a careful review of your experience and accomplishments in academic and full-and-part time work settings, including your extracurricular activities.

Work Experience

We highly value full-time professional experience. We have found that applicants with full-time work experience tend to have greater maturity and-self-awareness. These qualities contribute significantly to future success.

On average, Sasin MBA students have three years of meaningful work experience and demonstrate clear management potential.

However, we do not preclude applications from exceptional younger applicants with little full-time work experience, provided they can demonstrate maturity and an ability to contribute to their class learning experience. However, a minimum of one-year full-time work experience is required.

Interviews are required for admission to the Sasin Flexible MBA Program.

Interviews are normally conducted with representatives of Sasin faculty, administrators, and alumni. We have found that interviews provide essential insights into applicants’ abilities and motivation to complete the Flexible MBA program.

Interviews also provide you with an opportunity to discuss the Sasin Flexible MBA program and raise questions of concern. We can also arrange interviews outside of Thailand, sometimes face-to-face with our representatives, or via Sasin’s video-conferencing facilities.

Interviews, whether on campus or elsewhere, will be arranged and conducted only after the application and all supporting documents have been submitted to the Admissions Office.

Admissions Schedule

Sasin usually offers two admissions windows:

  • Early Admissions (Round 1): you need to submit your completed application by mid-November (for exact dates see below),
  • Regular Admissions (Round 2): you need to submit your completed application by the end of January (exact dates see below),

The sooner you apply, the sooner you’ll know your status and the sooner you can snag your place!

If you have most of your application documents ready, we strongly urge you to apply in Round 1. Spaces are limited.
