On 21 September, Professor Takamasa Fujioka, Director of Sasin Japan Center, gave a keynote speech on Business Strategy of Japanese Companies in the Digital Society: Great Convergence and New Turning Point at the “Asia Digital Society Forum in Bangkok 2018,” organized by the Thai government and Nikkei group. Professor Fujioka’s presentation followed opening speeches by H.E. Mr. Shiro Sadoshima, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kingdom of Thailand and H.E. Dr. Pichet Durongkaveroj, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, the Kingdom of Thailand. Other distinguished guests included:

• the Chief Digital Officer of CP Group, the Executive Advisor of DENSO Corporation, and the President/CEO of DEPA (Digital Economy Promotion Agency of Thailand).
• Over 300 business executives from both Thai and Japanese companies
