Publishing in British Journal of Management and Trending AI Research Themes
By Dr. Soumyadeb Chowdhury Associate Editor British Journal of Management Associate Professor AI and Digital Sustainability Toulouse Business School, France Friday, December 20, 2024, 12:00 -13:00 pm Venue: Room 201 at Sasin School of Management or online via Zoom Register here to reserve your seat This session will aim to offer an essential guide to publishing in the British Journal of Management (BJM), a prestigious ABS 4-ranked journal, by unpacking key strategies, manuscript preparation requirements, and editorial expectations. Going beyond general guidance, the talk will delve into the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and management research across diverse domains, including sustainability, human resources, marketing, supply chain, and operations management. By drawing on recent trends, high-impact publications, and the journal’s evolving priorities, the session will highlight:
  • Emerging research gaps in AI applications in management.
  • Trending themes, such as AI-driven sustainability solutions, the ethical implications of AI in HRM, AI-enhanced customer engagement in marketing, and AI-based optimization in supply chain and operations management.
Attendees will gain a dual advantage: practical tips for aligning their research with BJM’s rigorous standards and a forward-looking perspective on high-potential topics shaping the future of management scholarship. Furthermore, this session will serve as a platform to foster collaboration among researchers, especially those keen on interdisciplinary research. Opportunities will be explored for forming collaborative teams to pursue joint publications and secure research grants (e.g., British Academy, British Council, Horizon Europe), aligned with these cutting-edge themes. The co-editor-in-chief of BJM will be also present to answer questions.   For more information please contact +66-2218-4000 ext. 83893 or researchseminar@sasin.edu.
