Celebrating the Chanarat Family’s Success at Sasin
07 October 2025

With three family members having chosen to study at Sasin, the Chanarat family is building a legacy of business leadership. Sasin served as the vehicle for the siblings to bridge their knowledge gap in business.
“We all didn’t study business before. Prim studied architecture, Proud studied science and biology. We all felt that we needed more business knowledge to succeed in the future,” Charn Chanarat (Sasin MBA 2023) said at the Graduation Ceremony on October 1.
Sasin provided the eldest sister of the family, Prim Chanarat (Sasin MBA 2018), the Managing Director of Infus Medical, with both the technical and soft skills necessary to manage their family business. She gained technical knowledge from Sasin’s courses in finance and accounting, while the softer skills taught at Sasin, like leadership, negotiation, and cross-cultural understanding, have helped her work seamlessly with different stakeholders in the business.
“What we gained from Sasin is a wide range of skills, both technical in terms of classes such as finance, accounting, so those skills help a lot in business and also the softer skills, the people and cultural side of skills, so leadership classes, negotiation classes, all of those help a lot in terms of working with stakeholders in the business,” said Prim.
Guided by their sister Prim, both Proud Chanarat (Sasin MBA 2022) and Charn were inspired to study at Sasin. Watching her build lifelong friendships and successfully apply her knowledge in the family business motivated them to follow in her footsteps.
“All three of us went to Sasin, and all three of us really enjoyed the classes and valued the friendships we made. Sasin helped us gain knowledge in business in general, in that way, we can use our knowledge to excel in our careers going forward,” said Proud. While she did not work directly in the family business, Prim’s guidance gave Proud an advantage, as she could follow her sister’s recommended classes and professors to pursue her career goals.
Both sisters built a legacy at Sasin. Prim received the Professor Toemsakdi Krishnamra Award for Academic Excellence. Proud, who graduated with Distinction, was also a member of the winning team, B-Rabbit, at the 2024 Schlesinger Global Family Enterprise Case Competition (SG-FECC) hosted by the University of Vermont, outperforming twenty-five student teams from 12 countries across five continents.
“Sometimes I feel like we might forget the aspects of being human, reflecting on ourselves, and thinking about the community. I felt like the class [Becoming a Mindful Leader] has made me think more about not just how to generate the most profit, but also make an impact on the Earth and society as well.” – Charn Chanarat, Sasin MBA 2023
Charn graduated this year, continuing the family’s Sasin journey with the goal of starting his own business. His decision to study at Sasin was inspired by his sisters’ experiences, and for him, the fulfillment was doubled. “I saw two role models who had great experiences here, made lifelong friends, enjoyed their classes, and they also both had great experiences at their exchange programs,” he said. Charn went to France for his exchange program, where he broadened his horizons and exchanged knowledge and cultures with fellow students. While Charn gained valuable business knowledge that gave him the confidence to pursue his entrepreneurial goals, his favorite subject was “Becoming a Mindful Leader,” taught by Associate Professor Hee-Chan Song at Sasin. “Sometimes I feel like we might forget the aspects of being human, reflecting on ourselves, and thinking about the community. So, I felt like the class has made me think more about not just how to generate the most profit, but also make an impact on the Earth and society as well,” said Charn. With the knowledge gained at Sasin, the Chanarat family is able to build and manage their business more effectively, benefiting not only their family enterprise but also any careers they may pursue in the future.Share this article
