Professor Takamasa Fujioka Contributes to His 14th Book, Corporate Behavior in Asian Markets
Professor Takamasa Fujioka, Advisor to the Sasin Japan Center and Professor at Meiji Business School, has contributed as an editor and author to his 14th book, Corporate Behavior in Asian Markets: Interdisciplinary and Practical Perspectives, published by Hakuto-Shobo in August 2026. The book was developed as a commemorative academic publication marking the 30th anniversary of the Japan Society for Asian Market Economies. Bringing together leading scholars and practitioners in economics, commerce, and management, the volume examines corporate behavior in rapidly changing Asian markets from interdisciplinary and practice-oriented perspectives, offering insights for both research and practice. Professor Fujioka was involved in the planning and editing of the volume and also contributed as an author. Covering countries and regions including China, Thailand, Indonesia, and Japan, the book explores a broad range of issues central to contemporary Asian business, including sustainability, international market entry, consumer behavior, tourism, retail and distribution, omnichannel strategies, value co-creation, innovation, entrepreneurship, and international competitiveness. At a time of increasing uncertainty in the global economy and significant changes across Asia’s social and economic landscape, the book offers valuable perspectives not only for researchers and students of Asian economics and management, but also for business leaders, practitioners, and policymakers engaged in Asian markets.
