Sasin First Business School in Thailand to Earn Maximum 5-Year EQUIS Reaccreditation
Sasin has earned a 5-year reaccreditation term from EQUIS, the leading international accreditation for business schools, run by EFMD Global. Sasin was the first school in Thailand to receive EQUIS accreditation in 2010, and in 2026, the first to earn the maximum 5-year accreditation term. A five-year EQUIS accreditation is widely regarded as the gold standard for business school accreditation. “Sasin owes this achievement to everyone in the Sasin community that has contributed so well to growing the school and its global reputation for regional expertise,” said Professor Ian Fenwick, Director of Sasin. “A special thanks, of course, to all those who were actually involved or interviewed during the EQUIS visit last March.” Sasin’s accreditations are matched by its rankings. The school was ranked #1 in Thailand and #29 in Asia in the QS Global MBA Rankings 2027, and earlier this year became the first and only Thai school ever included in the Financial Times Global MBA Ranking 2026, where Sasin ranked #1 in Thailand. In addition to the EQUIS accreditation, Sasin was also the first business school in Thailand to receive international accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in 2010. EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System) is the leading international system of quality assessment, improvement, and accreditation of higher education institutions in management and business administration. EQUIS is managed and operated by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD Global), founded in Brussels, Belgium, in 1972, and its fundamental objective is to advance management education worldwide.
