University of Texas at Austin’s “Imagine Devices” Wins Bangkok Business Challenge 2026 Powered by SCGC

Sasin School of Management announced the winners of the Bangkok Business Challenge 2026 Powered by SCGC, co-hosted with SCG Chemicals (SCGC), a leading innovator in the polymer business and integrated solutions for sustainability. The global student startup competition brings together university teams from around the world to present and pitch sustainable, innovation-driven business solutions under the theme “Growing Impactful Ventures: Building Solutions for Tomorrow’s World.”
Imagine Devices from the University of Texas at Austin, United States of America, emerged as the Global Competition Winner, receiving the competition’s most prestigious recognition, H.M. The King of Thailand’s Award, along with a cash prize of USD 18,000. SafeSock from Johns Hopkins University, United States of America, secured the runner-up prize and a cash prize of USD 3,000. The H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Sustainability Award was presented to TriChokro Trambulance from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, who received USD 5,000 for their impactful sustainability-focused innovation. In addition, SafeSock from Johns Hopkins University also won the Kasikornbank (KBank Live) 60-Second Pitch Award for delivering a concise and compelling presentation that stood out among the finalists.
This year, the Bangkok Business Challenge welcomed 385 teams from 83 higher education institutions across 20 countries. The final round of the competition was held at Sasin School of Management on May 23, 2026.
A heartfelt congratulations to all participating teams who traveled from around the world to share ideas, connect, and inspire one another. Their entrepreneurial mindset and innovative solutions continue to drive positive change toward a more sustainable future.
