Professor Takamasa Fujioka Appointed as Expert Committee Member on Japan’s Future Global South Policy

Professor Takamasa Fujioka, Advisor to the Sasin Japan Center, has been appointed as an expert member of the Committee on the Future Direction of Japan’s Global South Policy, an initiative of the Trade Policy Bureau of Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). Supported by Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as its secretariat, the committee examines the future direction of Japan’s policies toward countries in the Global South. Professor Fujioka brings extensive academic and practical experience in Thailand and ASEAN, with expertise in international business strategy, localization, management, and industrial policy. At Sasin, he has also been actively involved in industry–government–academia collaboration, contributing to stronger connections between Japan and Thailand. Drawing on his extensive experience in ASEAN, Professor Fujioka will contribute to discussions on strengthening co-creation between Japan and Global South countries and enhancing the competitiveness of Japanese companies.
