Sasin and SCGC – Growing Impactful Ventures: Building Solutions for Tomorrow’s World at the Bangkok Business Challenge 2026
  Sasin School of Management, in collaboration with SCG Chemicals (SCGC), a leading innovator in the polymer business and integrated solutions for sustainability, has launched the Bangkok Business Challenge 2026 Powered by SCGC under the theme “Growing Impactful Ventures: Building Solutions for Tomorrow’s World.” The global student startup competition brings together university teams to present and pitch sustainable, innovation-driven business solutions to a distinguished panel of accomplished entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders. The Bangkok Business Challenge 2026 has attracted strong global interest, with 385 team submissions. Participants represent 83 higher education institutions across 20 countries and 4 continents, including more than 47 institutions joining for the first time. A panel of distinguished judges will select top teams to receive prestigious honors, including H.M. The King of Thailand’s Award and the Sustainability Award, along with a combined prize pool of USD 42,900 (over 1.4 million Baht). “At Sasin, our mission is to inspire. connect. transform for a better, smarter, and more sustainable world. We equip people with the leadership skills, the entrepreneurial mindset, and the insight to develop solutions for tomorrow’s world,” said Associate Professor Dr. Piyachart Phiromswad, Deputy Director for Learning Solutions at Sasin. “This is the spirit of the Bangkok Business Challenge, where students dare to believe change is possible, embrace disruption, forge global networks, and launch innovations that transform the world into a better place.” Dr. Suracha Udomsak, Chief Operations and Innovation Officer, SCGC, said: “Throughout more than a decade of continuous support for Bangkok Business Challenge, we have always believed that for sustainability to become a reality, innovation that answers the demands of the future must be the driving force. This competition is therefore more than a business plan contest — it is a space that empowers the next generation of innovators from around the world to transform ideas into solutions that create tangible, positive impact across economic, social, and environmental dimensions.” “Under the theme ‘Growing Impactful Ventures: Building Solutions for Tomorrow’s World,’ SCGC is ready to serve as a Catalyst — bridging innovation with the real needs of industry, supporting the translation of ideas into real-world applications, and driving high-potential innovations to scale. In particular, we are focused on solutions in energy, green innovation, and the circular economy, as we work together to build businesses that grow sustainably and move the world forward.,” added Dr. Suracha. This collaboration between Sasin and SCGC, together with partners across multiple sectors, including Kasikorn Bank, Boon Rawd Brewery, 2C2P, the Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage, Property Management Office of Chulalongkorn University, Saranrom Catering, and the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE), brings together cross-sector expertise and resources to transform promising startups into scalable ventures.
