The second General Meeting of the Sasin Bangkok Venture Club was recently held at Sasin School of Management. The meeting included a keynote by our Sasin DBA2021 Paul Ark, Partner and Head of ESG at Gobi Partners, on “Similarities and Differences in Startup Investing within Different Southeast Asian Countries and Across Regions”. In the meeting, we had pitches from three startups looking for investors. First up was Blue Protein, an alternative protein startup providing natural fed insects to feed 100% natural proteins to fish, poultry farms, and other farmed animals. Next up was Shout – KOC Marketing Platform, a key opinion customer (KOC) marketing platform. The final pitch came from SABAI, an affordable, sustainable & convenient furniture startup that uses recycled and natural materials. The Bangkok Venture Club was founded in 2014 as a group of successful investors, executives, and entrepreneurs in Thailand and Southeast Asia, who use their expertise in different domains to identify and support early-stage startups. Sasin School of Management and the Bangkok Venture Club established a partnership in January 2022.
